CAN Design Transforms The Bay Hub into a Contemporary Office Landmark

CAN DESIGN, an emerging architecture and design firm based in Hong Kong, recently completed The Bay Hub as a newly renovated Grade-A office landmark in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The project combines functionality with elegance, fostering creativity and wellbeing for tenants and visitors alike.
The key focus of the renovation included transforming the dining area on the ground floor, and the lobbies, with particular attention to reimagining the spatial design of the ground-floor lobby. This effort aims to provide corporate tenants with an elevated sensory and functional experience.
CAN has meticulously crafted an urban sanctuary that promotes for a healthy and elegant lifestyle. Inspired by nature, the design seamlessly integrates outdoor elements into the interiors, creating a serene yet dynamic atmosphere. The lobby, with its impressive 9.3-metre ceiling height, exudes openness and transparency, setting the tone for sophistication and prestige. As a landmark in the East Kowloon CBD, The Bay Hub symbolises modernity and innovation while embodying the energy and vibrancy of the surrounding business district.
A Harmony of Nature and Urban Energy
Strategically located near the Kai Tak and Kowloon Bay MTR stations, The Bay Hub offers seamless connectivity to Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Its design harmoniously combines the essence of nature with the vitality of urban life. Stepping into the building, one immediately enters a space that balances tranquillity with dynamism, making it more than just a workplace, it is a new urban landmark that inspires potential and creativity.

The newly designed water feature at the entrance replaces the former planting area, introducing an element of natural flow into the space. Verdant greenery sets a refined and tranquil tone for the office environment, immersing visitors in a serene and comfortable atmosphere. Each floor of the building spans approximately 3,500 square meters, with the renovation covering approximately 8,000 square meters from the ground floor to the third floor. This upgrade significantly enhances the overall quality and user experience of the space.

The newly unveiled branding for The Bay Hub plays a pivotal role in its identity, offering tenants a strong sense of visual recognition through its clean and impactful design. The logo combines uniqueness with versatility, adaptable across various media to ensure consistency and continuity of the brand image. Interior signage, crafted from materials such as wood, warm whites, and stainless steel, complements the overall design aesthetic with its fine textures.
